2012 Draft:
The Mets take Purdue Catcher, Kevin Plawicki, with the 35th overall pick between the 1st and 2nd round. Plawicki attended Westfield High School.
2011 Draft:
In the 11th round, Christian Montgomery signed with the New York Mets out of Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Christian Montgomery is a 6' 1", 240 pound hard throwing right-handed pitcher that has been clocked at 97 mph. He decided to sign and play professional baseball rather than attend Chipola Junior College in Florida.
In the 25th round, A.J. Reed was drafted by the New York Mets. A.J. was a Senior at Terre Haute High School in Terre Haute, Indiana. He is a 6'4" left handed hitter/pitcher that has been clocked at 94 mph. A.J. has decided to attend the University of Kentucky on a baseball scholarship rather than sign with the New York Mets.
